Segi Lee

Segi Lee

Segi Lee joined the lab in September, 2018 as a master student. He received his BSc in Electrical Engineering from UNIST. His research interests include digital hardware chip/FPGA design and implementation for deep learning.

In July 2020 he joined Satrec Initiative Co., Ltd., a space and aviation technology company, in Daejon, Korea, in the Defense Systems Division, as a hardware engineer.

Jooyeon Choi

Jooyeon Choi

Jooyeon Choi joined the lab in September, 2018 as a master student. She received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, Ulsan, South Korea, in 2018 and 2021, respectively. 

She is currently working as a hardware designer with DeepInSight, Seongnam-si 13449, South Korea. Her current research interests include deep neural network processing and accelerator hardware.

Giju Jung

Giju Jung joined the lab in August, 2018 as a master student. He received the BSc degree from UNIST with his first major in Computer Engineering, his second major in Biotechnology. His research interests include neuromorphic computing systems and efficient deep learning.

After graduation he joined 3View.Com Inc., Suwon-si, South Korea, as an engineer specialized in AI.

The RNC Lab at UNIST has four papers accepted this time to the 24th Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference (ASP-DAC), which will be held in Tokyo, Japan, in January 2019.

The ICCL has TWO papers accepted this year to Design Automation Conference (DAC), which will be held in San Francisco, California, in June.

NAVER PhD Fellowship Award received by our lab member

Congratulations! Hyeonuk was selected for the NAVER Ph.D. Fellowship Award this year.

NAVER Ph.D. Fellowship Award recognizes top Ph.D. students in UNIST ECE with top-tier conference/journal publications or those who otherwise demonstrated top-quality research results. Only six students received the award this year, and the ceremony took place during the annual ECE Night. Each winner of the award receives five million Korean won, which is about five thousand US dollars.

Naver Corporation, who is behind this award, is an Internet content service company operating Korea’s #1 search engine Naver.com according to wikipedia.
